Was just going to say, the official figure was 12,200 and odd but in reality there weren’t half that number there
We were guessing lat night. Actual bodies through the gate 6500 including the fantastic away support.
I'd be surprised if there were any more than 3000 Barnsley supporters there last night, but I couldn't see how many where in the East Stand
I challenge the club to disclose the number of Barnsley fans that actually were in the ground last night.
They won't and don't have to. But anyone knows it was like a pre-season friendly or a JPT first round game. Edit - Papa John's are also available
I was there last night & from my seat it looked like a gate of around 6000 but why is there an obsession from fans who did not attend to know what the crowd was ? If fans are not bothered & lost interest then I fully understand so why do fans still demand to know, is it for self satisfaction to justify not going ? because fans do not have to justify staying away , there are countless reasons for turning their backs on the club yet it seems that alone is not enough , I do not get it .
Yep, they definitely won't. That would be akin to them making a tiny admission that things are not well.
Why do you keep pretending everything is fine? The fact that there were so few fans there is an indication of the state the club is in. It would be just a small step if those in charge admitted it.
I went. But I'll try and explain (from my own view and nobody else's). It's like when you've loved somebody for 40 years. Things have gone wrong and you feel hurt. You can't put your finger on it but feel disgruntled, let down and generally in a state of dispare. Then you know she's gone out with another blowk. Even though you know it's not coming back you question who was the other blowk, where did they go, did she get 'pleasured'??!?! It's human nature. You've got to be one callous Mo Fo to either not understand or care.
I've never know such large numbers of season ticket holders not turn up as we have seen this season. Whatever the number of season ticket sales end up being a positive season is a must of the bleed off of fans will continue and the longer people stay away the less likely they are to come back.
It's because I wanted to know the actual figure who attended not the figure what's just thrown up in the air , is that ok with you
I was in the West Stand. Do not think there were any more than 3000 home fans. I can't ever remember a home game looking so sparse in recent years, not counting cup competitions.
You have not read what I have said, there is no way everything is fine , did you not read my words where I say " there are countless reasons for fans to turn their backs " , countless reasons , I would be all day listing what is wrong with the club , everything is not fine & I have not suggested it is .
Then stop criticising those who simply want to highlight the drop off in attendance. It's not because we want to appear justified or anything else. It's purely the wish to indicate the discontent and maybe get those in charge to face up to reality.
