not really read the porn story, but here's an idea, why not ban all mobile devices inside the house of cumts? it really boils my piss watching any mp speaking out and you see most not interested and typing away on their mobiles, totally ignorant lovely people!
And I thought he deserved a lot of respect for his explanation. He said that he still farms in Devon and had been watching a video of Big Tractors when, inadvertently, a porn site popped up. I think he admitted it was something like Big Tits or Asian Tractors. Marc should be able to confirm this as he’s name checked most porn sites on this thread.
They could be answering/reading emails, looking up data to backup or debunk an argument or receiving instructions from the party whip - or probably hundreds of legitimate reasons for using a phone in the Commons chamber. The use of phones isn't necessarily the issue - its what they use the phones/internet for that could be an issue. Legitimate use is fine. Watching porn is potentially a major issue, but that would depend on intent and context. By intent and context, I mean did he go to Google and type "Tractor porn videos" and click on "I'm feeling lucky punk!" or did he receive a link he thought was something else - or even did he open an email from a constituent with attached porn content - that leaves us with an opportunity to sink an MP we don't like by setting up gmail accounts and sending pornos to them. Also, did he turn it off immediately, or carry on watching? And you have to be able to prove what he did. That isn't just he said, she said, but server/firewall logs, video evidence, etc.
he's said what he did. he followed a link, which by his words was indirect. he then deliberately and intentionally returned to the site a second time. there's absolutely no defence whatsoever for his actions. he even finally admitted that himself.
I'm sure he wouldn't have resigned if it really had been accidentally clicking something a constituent sent. He'd be able to prove it easily.
