There'll be posts along the lines of:
"I'm sure we shut the west Stand that season due to norovirus"
    And replies like :
"No, it were shut cos of Brexit and free movement of flatbreads"
And the obvious from Mr Dawson:
"Fairly sure me and Laura christened the West Stand bogs that season"

I remember attending the first two, but not the third. I thought the score v Hearts Of Oak of Accra, Ghana was 10-2, though you may well be right that it was 10-1. I seem to recall that Norman Dean, a talented forward, whom we signed from Cardiff, scored 5 goals in that match. Particularly surprising about the scoreline is that Hearts Of Oak were the champions of Ghana and a team full of internationals. They seemed extremely talented on the ball, but tactically naive. African football has come on in leaps and bounds since those days.

Ah, Norman Dean. Everything he did on the pitch had a touch of class to my eyes.

I think he scored a goal or two in the European Cup Winners Cup for Cardiff. He was classy, as you say. Perhaps not the hardest worker on the pitch, which is probably why he ended up with us.

Just checked on Wikipedia and found that Norman Dean scored 3 goals against Moscow Torpedo in the 1967-8 Cup Winners Cup quarter final and two against Hamburg in the two-legged semi-final, which Cardiff lost 4-3.
