Went back to Nathan Jones and he's got them over achieving, shows how making the right appointment of manager without spreadsheets and gambling on unknowns is the way to go. As much as the players have given up, the 2 managers we appointed have been 100% completely and totally the reason. Our squad is as good as Lutons. Our managers have not.
really? Player for player i think it weighted to them. Then they also play as a team. Which players in the Luton first team would you swap and replace with ours?
No great love for Luton but would love to see then do it and get back to the top level. And at least Millwall miss out too!
I am genuinely pleased for them. This seasons ‘Barnsley’. But better still how they dropped from being top division in the late 80s down to the conference, to get all the way back up to The Championship playoffs is a remarkable achievement. Basically the opposite of Oldham who have gone from Prem to Conference. Hats off to The Hatters.
Hoping Luton do it this season , on a budget probably ten times lower than the blunts and they haven’t kicked and hoped their way up , they’ve played some decent football and more importantly as a team rather than individual performers . I’ll deffo be rooting for them .
Only one problem with that and that’s is who the hell at the club at this present time are competent enough to clear out and more importantly bring in the right sort of people to lift this depressing gloom at the club which started with so much promise and goodwill?
Thanks folks. Incredible to have reached the play-offs, especially as we have had dire injury problems. No central defenders for February, not midfielders for March. No keeper or forwards for most of April. Eight players out today and twelve last Monday. Got to have a chance now if we have any players fit Terrible season for you, so sorry about that. Hard after a play-off season to recreate it. Tough in league one. Best wishes
Would love to see Luton go up. What an achievement it would be to return to the top flight having dropped out of the football league. Gives me hope in our darkest of days. Good luck Pelly.
Given that Rotherham and Wigan went up this season when a season ago both looked down and out is some hope
Huddersfield delighted they've got Luton. In fact some of their fans think they're already in the final!!
Really pleased for Jordan (clicker) Clarke, Academy product from Hoyland Common and rejected by BFC. He could be playing in the Prem next year.
https://www.htafc.com/news/2022/may/play-off-semi-final-away-leg--ticket-info/ £32 to sit (stand as you don't have leg room to sit) in that end, what a rip off. Especially as the second leg is only £20.
We havent had £90 million parachute payments. Got to get a few quid somewhere. They are only giving us 1,500 away tickets anyway Squad cost QPR £138mn Bournemouth £105 Forest £65 Sheff U £ 60mn Hudders £35mn Luton £1.5mn
