I certainly don't think these 3 games should reflect negatively on him. I never thought it a good idea to play the U23s, I'd have kept our loan players and tried to salvage some pride these last 3 games.
Unfortunately no, but whoever it ends up being will have the most impossible job on his hands & it’s up to the supporters to understand that a slow lower mid table season will be a good season for us & whoever the manager is needs to be here for the long term. So in that case I would rather have someone with a bit of experience. JFH fits the bill to be honest, & he won’t demand funds to sign players going on his last jobs. An unknown foreign gamble just isn’t going to cut it this time.
Up until this season they didnt. And so many seem to have gone out on loan, pushed into the first team like Moon , seem to have had a fair few trialists etc. I'm not saying he should get the job but I think it unfair to jump on him when he's been pushed into containing the titanic after its already hit the iceberg!
I didn't see any convincing reason before he took over. I still don't. Possibly even less so. He was handed a thankless task but I wouldn't want to gamble on giving him the job full time.
There's no point in wasting money keeping them here for nothing if their clubs agreed to allow them back. I'm glad we played some of the kids/fringe players, if some of them are ones who will be playing next season, it's a bit of experience for them, and might give us an idea of where we need improving the most..
Whilst i agree I think it makes it difficult to give him the role as unless we started the season on fire it wouldn’t take long for the fans to start to turn etc.
No one would have done anything with the under 23 "s as half of them have been scattered half way around Europe on loan & the other half drafted into the first team squad , very unfair to judge him on the under 23 "s , I wouldn"t give it him because I think we need experience but he does not deserve any critique
It’s a no from me, l loved Disco as a player, but we need an experienced charismatic manager, with the pull to bring in new players to a club that is currently dying on its Arse.
As much as he’s got the clubs best interest at heart an all that, I don’t think he’s the man to get us back on track. We need a new face with some fresh idea’s.
