    Having witnessed former players Darren Moore, Alex Neil and Paul Heckingbottom take their teams into the play offs it got me thinking how many other ex players became managers. Names that spring to mind as well as the three above are:-
    Neil Warnock
    Mick McCarthy
    Norman Hunter
    Peter Shirtliff
    All of whom did really well.
    Any others?

    He came as assistant player manager with Viv Anderson. I was meaning players who then became managers.

    Yes Rob Edwards.

    Made his debut at Forest in a 0-0 draw & looked a top signing then barely played again & left without much of an explanation
