    It’s clear that Devaney is now seen more as a 1st team coach. Whether that is head or assistant coach is still to be seen. But fair play to the club for getting the ball rolling. It’s no surprise to me and it won’t be to Martin.

    Secondly, positions like these and below in the academy are never that well paid unless you’re in the Premier League. Some may be surprised actually how little coaches can be on. But it’s part of building up a career. Start low and build up.

    Can we read anything into the fact that in one JD para it states liaising with 1st team manager and not coach? Are we bound for a change of stance?
