This has to be a move in the right direction & a clear acceptance of a failure to manage the club. May not still be an easy ride, but I feel a lot more confidence in the new board, whatever the shareholding situation is. I think next season will be difficult, but we have a chance to turn things around. It may take a few seasons, as I can't see there being much cash in the kitty. The only glimmer of hope at the end of a truly awful season. I think Jean stepping forward at the helm has to reassure us all, it cannot have been easy for her to stomach after Patrick's passing. Full respect for that.
Urgency now is recruitment, recruitment, recruitment ....of first team coaches and then players, having sorted out who's leaving first.
Not quite getting any of the excitement around this. It's just paperwork changes which makes things worse for BFC surely. Now the investors eg Chien, Conway are even further detached from the club. So all that has happened is a barrier has been put up between the club and themselves by placing a representative in their place on the board. So any decisions now would obviously have to be agreed at board level and also no doubt rubber stamped at a another level. Probably more to do with tax than owt else. Why are people getting excited over by them adding an extra distancing layer to the ownership mode but still holding the purse strings?
Dont know why, but I found myself reading that in a Blur style...... Confidence is a preference for the habitual voyeur Of what is known as Parklife. And morning soup can be avoided If you take a route straight through what is known as Parklife.
More questions than answers for me at this stage. Could be good news or could just mean more of the same with different people at the helm. Who owns us? Does this have any impact on the court case and the purchase of the club? Initially I felt like renewing, but I think I will wait and see what happens.
I wonder if there has been a general vote of no confidence in the former 80%ers from above due to their failure at Barnsley and their shambolic running and relegations of their other clubs in Europe? Would you trust them to run your club? Millions will have been lost everywhere due to incompetence so effectively they have been dismissed. Also it probably releases Khaled from the torture of being PC's yes man, unless he now answers to Julie. Will Julie now tell the coach, whoever that may be, who to play on matchday? Sounding a little more unlikely.
I think there are rules about shareholders interfering in the running of a limited company. The board have ultimate responsibility, and authority.
I can understand some sceptical comments, but surely Conway is out? We have another investor & another member of the Cryne family on the board. Running of the club is now much more back with the Crynes. Baffled at what people were hoping for.
Not the case. Neerav, James Cryne and Julie Anne now have a controlling stake combined and can make decisions in the best interests of the football club. How else do you think they voted Conway, Chien Lee and Grace Hung off the board to be able to announce this news?
Not when she is just a 'Representative'.. Absolutely nothing has changed in terms of the ownership except they basically can't be bothered to attend board meetings themselves so are sending Julie.
There is nothing saying they have been voted off the board. All that has happened is Conway and Co have decided to send a representative in place of them on the board. Zero in that news story says any stake has changed.
https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...-fc-board-in-major-boardroom-shake-up-3691653 This article from the Yorkshire Post does highlight the part of the official statement that said PMG were made 'temporary nominee' at the time of purchase. This has now expired and the investors have now directly registered their ownership.
