But you have no idea about the size of their investments within the owning group. They may well be fairly inconsequential and will fall out of the picture. It certainly seems to me their influence has to have waned otherwise they wouldn't have been able to be replaced in the first place.
This has got to be good good good news to be very positive about!! Still so so many questions though. Regarding the ownership structure, what it has ever been these last 5 years and what it is now. But we'll have to be patient with that. This is unequivocally a step in the right direction and gives us hope. Which is really the entire point of sport.
I really hope it is a positive step, I've just been jaded to the point where I'm sceptical I think. I hardly attended at all last season. It won't take much for me to come back but for now I'm leaning towards wait and see.
Couldn't agree with this more. It's clear we had ceased to be a competitive sports club and that the people responsible have been displaced from the board by those who saw how damaging that was.
I agree DWL, I don't remember it being stated that Conway, Lee, Heung and Lee, were only Nominees with a fixed term. Although that became my suspicion over the past few months. I have reread the statement and there was an implication of sorts of different owners to come but like you say, we need transparency. Only just got in from work so will read what other people think. At the moment I don't feel anything has changed, are any of the directors Executive? Who do they answer to? Who can make decisions? Will a Chairman be chosen after the EFL have approved the Directors? You can see why I'm not popular
Hi mate, I am too, mainly due to family & personal reasons, as well as the shambolic season we have endured. I can't read that statement in any way, other than they have ****** up massively & are giving the Crynes a big stake back in decision making. It hopefully will mean we can progress with the ground & get our club back. Time will tell.
And the fact that they’ve not been selected to represent the investors any more… I reckon you’re onto something!
As far as I know, as an ex-company director, the level of an individual board member’s shareholding does not carry any more weight than that of any other board member. In other words, it’s one member one vote. The shareholders flex their muscles at the AGM or an EGM.
So....have I got this right...all their clubs which most of us believed to be one entity, are probably all different owners but PMG just happened to be the front for all of them like an agent? Like a football agent has loads of clients. Like Khaled said, he had no knowledge of how the other clubs were run....that'll be why. PMG are just an agency. I feel like a light just came on.
Wrong. They have been voted off the board. Julie Ann Quay has not been sent by 'Conway and Co'. She's joining James Cryne and Neerav to be a majority collective.
Hmm, interesting. I wonder how that turned out. VFiles founder embroiled in legal battle with employee | Page Six
Seems appropriate. I think of an early statement from the new owners, about not doing anything crazy... Life's too short to make a mistake Let's think of each other and hesitate Young and impatient we may be There's no need to act foolishly
