Rieckhoff’s complaint says: “Quay has operated VFiles as her alter ego, funding the company largely from her husband Matthew Edmonds’ personal hedge fund fortune, and making capricious and reckless decisions.” Nothing to see here, move along, move along.
The Hong Kong company own 100% of Barnsley FC. Neerav, Crynes and Julie Ann Quay own the majority share of the HK company.
The Barnsley Football Club Limited (Club) today announced a reconstitution of the Club’s board of directors, following changes in ownership at its parent company, BFC Investment Company Limited (BFC). Above is taken from the statement.... This bit is what is important.... "following changes in ownership at its parent company, BFC Investment Company Limited (BFC)." So the 80 percent may not even be 80 percent anymore. And if it is, those that make up the 80 percent has now changed and/or different share of 80 percent.
People genuinely stillof the firm belief that this changes nothing, and PMG/NCC are still somehow running things in the background. Even though they are no longer on the Board and have zero operational decision making capacity. Genuine question to anyone with that view - how can they still be running things, when they’re not even on the Board? How can they still physically make any decisions?
But what is the split between those board members? Does Julie Anne have a majority stake, as the nominee of the mystery investors?
You can see the four board members removed here. They now have zero say on the running of Barnsley Football Club. None whatsoever. https://t.co/hN6VO3P0LA
So Oulare was identified the Jan before whilst Dane was here, was that by the model or had we already started to deviate?
Not sure that's public knowledge or for me to share at this stage. I wouldn't want to be speculating on who has what percentage, but we obviously know that James Cryne has 20% and they now make up the majority shareholding together.
It was only rumours at the time on how close we were to signing Oulare, but we signed Dike instead. Have a guess at who you think was pushing for that one......
Thanks Gally. A couple of follow up questions. Do you know the exact split of their relative investments/holdings? Has the Crynes share increased, e.g. have they swapped some of the debt for further equity to increase their holding? Or has this Quay woman always essentially had the biggest equity stake but we just never got made aware of it?
How are you not grasping this? She's the new nominee for the investment group in New York. Paul Conway was the previous nominee - he's now been voted off the board along with Chien Lee, yet you seem to think she's representing them? She's representing the investors. Paul Conway is not an investor.
That’s my view, but I’m no expert on corporate governance and I may well just be missing something. Keen to understand why people think Conway/Lee are still ‘running things in the background’…and how that’s even possible.
Do we know if PMG were previously acting on behalf of Julie Ann Quay then (or her husbands hedge fund) previously and now they’ve taken it on themselves- or is she the new “PMG” for the same unknown investors.
