I'd have to correct you there. A couple of glamour models took an interest. How anyone saw a professional footballer there was only in Conway's head. Thank God he's gone.
I'll tell you why I'm not grasping it. It seems we are being fed a little snippet without any of the facts, just trying to make it look like the ownership of the club has changed. So are you saying the supporters trust know more than they are currently prepared to tell us? But as it stands it just says Julie Anne Quay is going on to the board as a 'Representative' not as a shareholder. We were always told Chien and Co were investors.... so nothing has been said to say that they are no longer the same investors now represented by Julie Anne Quay.
You've got that the wrong way round. Conway WAS the representative for other shareholders, who've removed him from the role at the first opportunity and replaced him with someone else. That's brought about a change in the shareholder voting power on the board sufficient enough to remove him, Lee, et al.
Sorry to pick you both up Gally/Loko but one of you is saying Conway is an investor, one that he isn't. Is it perhaps that he does own shares personally but so few so as to have zero influence now he isn't a co-owner or board member?
I know exactly who, pushed for Dike cos Melissa did an interview about it. It’s on the official website that we had been negotiating for 7 months for him, so clearly we was trying to sign him, so who identified him?
So Julie is the new front person @share nominees Chien and Co have been voted /got rid off out of that role by the people or persons who actually own the shares. which we have no idea who is ?
Have to say, all the club have done is really caused mass confusion. Just tell us who owns the club. Who is Julie Ann Quay representing?
Dane was brought in for his connections on scouting and recruitment if I remember rightly? I don't know for certain who identified Dike, and whether it was a combination of being made aware and the stats supporting the pursuit of signing him, but I know those same people didn't identify Oulare.
We never knew who was being represented before. That's the point. The investors of BFC investment company isn't available
I awoke to this news this morning with excitement. I am guarded, but optimistic, for the future of BFC. I should have stopped reading this thread about 3 pages in, before the doom and gloom merchants latched onto it. The past few years have been a disaster, with a few high points, but I don't get this never ending negativity to any announcement regarding BFC.
Doesn't this bring into question the F.A guidelines rules and ownership and directorship integrity test that the person/people who actually own the club must be named as the actual owners of the club which doesn't seem to be the case here will there be a F.A inquiry into this ?
Thanks. So (for my own sanity) I should treat his and Chien Lee's shareholding as equivalent to my missus' pension being a shareholding in Aviva?
Melissa did an article in America about her and Dike coming from same town and how they ended up in Barnsley. Dane had been keeping tabs on Dike for a couple of years as they went to same college and had been made known to him. So short answer to my question about Oulare then is we don’t know who identified him?
I think we should all be really pleased that Conway and Lee and their entourage are removed from direct decision making at Oakwell. It's undoubtedly a positive that Jean is involved too. But until today nobody had even heard of this Quay woman, that she, or some fund, seem to have a significant stake in our football club, or what their reason for investing was. Let's be cautious until we hear more. It's a better day than yesterday, but none of us have any idea if this newly highlighted investment group are a good thing or not.
