ah right. yeah I think you've taken those words out of context. it was hyperbole. I think it's fair question to ask though. if there is some collective of anonymous 'investors', who have the ability to 'nominate' Directors - the last of which was a complete wrecking ball - then for me it's absolutely fair to want to know who these investors are. we're not a global PLC, we're a community football club.

I think you do her a disservice here. Although I don't know what her intentions are I would suspect she has more to offer that your best case. She might bring personality and motivation and challenge to the boardroom. She might help us promote and market ourselves. She may be an extra pair of hands. I don't know but if her best contribution is to pop in for a coffee and a game then I think she will be bored and will be off pretty quick.

My point was more that she would see that we don't do things very well in many areas. The first team were relegated, but if points were awarded for match day experience we wouldn't survive in League 2, never mind the Championship.

I don't think it's disrespectful to say that she's not going to be out on the training field showing Victor how to control a ball (although she may be better at that particular skill than he is). But she might have some very good ideas regarding how he club markets itself, or the advertising opportunities we offer other businesses, or the products we offer in the shop, or the catering services available to supporters. I don't know, I don't know what her skillset is, but I was suggesting she may have a lot to offer in the off-field side of the business, not the other way around.

Barnsley College students to design next season's shirts. (Will they be better than Whitey's retro green number ? ;))
