ripping up 3G pitches is literally madness, community use is through the roof and is a vital source of cash… not even taking into account they are fantastic to play on The money and wages required for league football is astronomical though compared
Probably same with miller, iv seen nothing to suggest he is anywhere near championship level, plenty do tho.

It wasn't that strange of a signing really at the time. He was just turned 24, had impressed for a couple of seasons in league 2 and I imagine he was reasonably cheap. We often played with wingers then although we didn't have too many of them (remember Pottsy on the wing). He added depth more than anything in league 1, and I wouldn't say he looked completely out of place. Some signings just don't work out.
What I don't understand about it though, is you would think that if it didn't work out with us, he would at least be able to go back to the level he was before, or even slightly higher having gained experience at a higher level. Instead drops down further than if he hadn't joined us?
He did spend some time out on loan in league 2 whilst with us and didn't pull up any trees. Maybe it was as simple as that. I vaguely recall him temporarily playing Sunday league level for a while before signing for Dulwich. I listen to undr the cosh, and the number of players who become disillusioned with the game, or simply fall out of love with it is quite high.
Jordan Green has made his way back from non-league football, signing for Gillingham. Fair play to him! https://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com/news/2022/july/gills-sign-jordan-green/
My dad reckons they used to get up to 30000 when he was a young un and you could buy anything at all during the game off the dockers. They even used to have a keg with homebrew gin at the back of the stand. Mindst, that was going on around 70 years ago
