    It's a bit Duff isn't it? Has all the hallmarks of a Steve Parkin or Keith Hill type appointment. If he was tearing up trees in League 1 last season fair enough. However, he wasn't.

    You could argue Cheltenham small club punching above their weight etc.

    Underwhelming but if he's the guy he gets my full support until he loses 3 or 4 on the spin or we don't win for three months.

    Whoever we appoint is going to have a huge rebuilding job so I think patience is probably crucial next season. Can't say I know anything about the chap. I shall watch how things develop with interest.

    His experience seems good. Only person to play in the top 8 tiers of football apparently.
    Playing, coaching under Dyche. league 2 manager of the year.
    Knows the division.

    On paper would seem a good move, but he's definitely an inside-man - I mean a hero for them, knows the ins-and-outs at Cheltenham, this is a very different thing he'd be facing. TBF he worked under Shaun at Burnley so that should have helped!!

    On the basis that I think it's important this appointment is UK based rather than another from the continent, I'd be happy if it was him. More chance of him being here for 2/3 seasons imo and actually starting to build something.

    The Gloucester paper said we'd approached Cheltenham to talk to him.. so Giddings saying we've not offered him owt yet makes sense.

    If he’s pals with Disco and it’s a joint thing, that could very well work.
    Manager with some experience and ( limited) success and someone with the club in his blood.
