The guys on the floor, any threat McBurnie may have been under from the guy is over. Its a cowardly attack at that point, and indefensible.
I've re-watched the video several times and now I don't actually think he's stamping on the guy, Mcburnie's got a pot on his leg and I think he's stumbling over him rather awkwardly and lifts his pot leg up to get out the way. Not saying he didn't initially push the guy over like.
That was when he was allegedly driving at over 50 MPH whilst taking a photo....... https://www.owlstalk.co.uk/forums/topic/268064-oli-mcburnie/
It's difficult to tell. I wouldn't say with any certainty that he stamped on the guy because the video doesn't show that. He could quite possibly have been hopping over him to get out of the way. The video appears to have been filmed by someone windmilling. And i'm not sure why others are comparing it to the other incident, it has nothing to do with that.
I think it was in Knaresborough, that we'll known hotspot for violance, lads clearly got anger issues.
Could have gone straight down the tunnel but strangely decided to head for the pitch and thousands of Forrest fans.
I’m sure many of these ‘can’t really tell for sure’ arguments will be used by Sheffield United as they try to cover his ar$e. If he goes unpunished based on a defence of inconclusive video evidence, then IMO so should the bloke who allegedly assaulted Billy Sharp. Inconclusive. Could have momentarily sneezed and lost vision. Or maybe a contact lens fell out. Or maybe he lost his glasses in the malaise and couldn’t see him. Etc.
This is a poor take. The mcburnie thing is in all likelihood inconclusive. The Sharp thing isn’t. I’m obviously not a Sheffield Utd fan but there is clearly a difference about which is clear and which isn’t.
The Forest fan can try and claim he slipped on the grass or didn't see Sharp and that it's inconclusive as it's not like he was stood in front of Sharp and leaned his head forward which would have been more conclusive. McBurnie will have to explain why with a bad leg and thousands of home fans on the pitch firstly he thought it was wise to not head for the tunnel and second why he didn't walk around the guy on the floor.
I remember him posting on Snapchat, it might have been after he made his debut for us, of him behind the wheel of his range rover on the M1, with his man of the match champagne in his right hand and his phone in his left.
