For me it's impossible to tell from that footage. If you want to see a stamp then you'll probably see one. He is a dick regardless.
I've seen he is claiming he was trying to avoid walking on him but the expression in his face and movement suggest otherwise. Watched it again after his comments this morning genuinely expecting to change my mind but still looks a stamp to me.
You can't see the whole body movement, and in particular where the foot lands and how. I think we've all got a good idea what has happened and his past misdemeanours give some insight to his character. But unless their is other footage and a different angle that shows it more clearly, I'd suspect he's very unlikely to get charged with anything.
I think i know what has happened he has gone to stamp on the bloke but true to current form has missed the intended target.
Course he won’t get charged. Sheffield United will close ranks. It’s what football clubs do. Paul Heckingbottom watched a video and immediately drew the conclusion the Sharp incident was a prison sentence. Video emerges of one of his players being a cnt. Silence. I’m probably not being as measured as I could be, but that’s because I’m so fkn fed up of the hypocrisy of football clubs, and how so many professional footballers conduct themselves.
Couldn't agree more. Though you see it in many other areas of life too. Politics, councils, the corporate world. Call foul, then when you're equally as guilty, cover it up, downplay it or try to finger point elsewhere. It's like accountability is no longer a thing.
Wouldn't you just go round him or offer to help him up in that situation, rather than try to step over them?
Yeah it was here https://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/oli-mcburnie.314244/page-2#post-2953369 Apart from posting photos at 51 MPH, starting a fight in the street, being arrested for drink driving and stamping on someone he's not a bad lad....He's got being a dick down to a tee but one thing he's not good at is scoring goals. Big Victor scored 3 in his 26 Championship games last season. Mcburnie has scored 0 in 28.
Football club/player conduct aside, if the video showed conclusively what happened, and it showed McBurnie clearly stamping on the guy, then by all means throw the book at him. But in reality the video is about as clear as mud in terms of what is actually happening, so it wouldn't stand up in a court of law. Hopefully there is another video that accurately shows a clear picture, but I suspect it would have come out by now. As for the other incident, it's a different incident.
He has been asked to attend a voluntary interview by notts police if he fails to do so he will be arrested and questioned. Just came on ssn.
A 25 year old man has presented himself to the police and been arrested on suspicion of assault, relating to incidents which occurred at the game. Presumably its Oli McBurnie.
I would imagine that image is of his speed limiter and not the actual MPH he was doing. My car says a number on the dash but it isn't the speed. He does seem to find trouble though.
