I think a big part is that they are the same kind of people who think they’re anonymous when online. And that they can say and do what they like with impunity.

The 79 promotion invasion was like the charge of the Light Brigade, but there were no problems with the Grimsby team.

Everton one is a bit odd. Is it that much to celebrate they have stayed up? Ita embarrassing it came to that.

Really good to see the Everton fans get round him and help him away. It’s the tiny minority as ever that ruin it for everyone.

I know not many will agree but Nottingham forest should now miss out on the playoff final because of the Billy Sharp incident, not seen the Port Vale but if as bad as it sounds they should be punished and a 3 point deduction for Everton, just stay off the pitch and don't assault players, it's pretty easy.

A prime example of players taking a holiday and turning it back on just in time.

No way they'll be there next season. Frank will meet with the board and they have the money to be able to afford a clear out and rebuild.

Top clubs learn from seasons like this.

They'd likely have been European Cup winners back in the 80s if Liverpool fans hadn't destroyed their chances at Heysel.

Killed them in a few ways. Lineker left and so did Howard Kendall.

Shall I do a list of what Everton have won? Or is it just the last 20 years and having dubious billionaire owners that counts now?

Tbf it didn’t look THAT bad, he obviously ignored intense goading , the kicked the guy up the ar.se, it’s wrong but he was trespassing on an area where he shouldn’t have been. When you look he tries to grab the fan first then kicks out as he gets away, it’s then made worse by some others going all billy big ******** until some sensible ones usher Vierra away.
    Vale fans, poor mans Millwall.
The big worry now is the authorities will be forced to act, reduced admissions? God forbid bloody fencing?

Notice how they're all billy big ******** until he turns, and then all of a sudden, they're back peddling.

I'm not condoning Vieira's actions, as although it's sometimes difficult to remain professional, he's got to show some restraint and let the tons of cameras deal with the incident, but as you say, something has clearly been said to provoke that reaction out of him.

Why are Everton the only team that don't lose out in that scenario?.

After being 2-0 down. The euphoria would have been the comeback and relief in my view.

Something has happened since lockdown for sure, I think some people have forgotten what social norms held in check their base desires to be moronic. I read an article from a stand up comedian host who says that since lockdown the amount of heckling and people trying to get on stage or disrupting the show has gone up massively. I would also say that security inside stadiums has become too laxed. Back as late as the 90s I saw violence inside football stadiums between groups of fans, then it died out - the violence became organised and outside the grounds, so I think policing and stewarding inside the ground became ;less of a priority, now disorder inside grounds seem to be back. What it needs is for 2 lines of stewards to be formed across the pitch so that players/officials can be sheltered on their way off the pitch, but it seems to me the sheer number of people invading the pitch is way higher then I ever remember it being.

Oh absolutely I get that but just seems a bit much. Suppose the feeling in the ground would be different

I remember when games weren't tight referee's used to give the players a nod before blowing up for full time so the players had chance to leave the field.
