They are but since Paul Cook returned their form has dipped. They were going toe-to-toe with Stockport for the title before he went back.

No idea who’s on the list, but assuming Warnock isn’t. Can only imagine his response to being asked to fill in a questionnaire.

It's merely a more focussed application form, so I doubt he'd object if he wanted to be included in the race.

Colin joined Twitter yesterday. Imagine how fun the account would be as our new head coach for him letting off steam about the officials.

Yeah I get that. Still, I really don’t think he needs to be filling in any forms, of any description. Personally think it’s disrespectful. He’s not some anonymous candidate that the Club have never heard of. I think his only response to any request to fill a form in would likely be ‘fk that, have a look at my stats on Wikipedia’. I doubt he's 'applied' for any job in recent years.

I understand what you mean, but under equal opps isn't everyone meant to be dealt with the same. Can't just ask most then make exceptions for some unless it's disability related .

As much as I'd have loved Colin for the comedy value alone and I'm sure he'd do a decent job, the bloke's a pensioner and we'd get what one maybe one and a half seasons out of him. I'd much prefer a younger manager who can build something and stick around for a few years before they're poached by a bigger opportunity.

You think a young manager will stick around for more than a season and a half, if they’re successful?

Honestly can't see why some people would have a problem if its Cook. Did great job at Chesterfield first time round. Took Pompey up, took Wigan up. But had a mare at Ipswich. Big expectation when they went down, new chairman. Cook got giddy and brought too many signings in at once. That was his downfall. Don't think he'd have that opportunity here. Anyone who wouldn't want Cook i'd ask.. well what do you want,? cos he would be idea at Oakwell. Just the man to turn us around. Just the man to rebuild our club.

I have no doubt Colin will be announced at the next press conference on the 27th, they have to do something big for the season ticket sales before the early bird finishes.

All his success came with Leam Richardson as his assistant. Richardson has moved to Wigan and got them promoted whilst Cook has struggled without him. Coincidence?

I think hiring Warnock as manager would be more of a football decision than a commercial one, it would say to me that we are serious about bouncing back , he has more promotions under his belt than any other current manager & surely by taking the gig at his age it would be with the intention of being successful ,although I do believe that him coming would improve interest from the fans because I am sure many would feel the same way as me .
