Who's off to the fan's forum on Friday? I think there are a few free tickets left (Get them here). It should be interesting. What would you like to hear from him? I'll ask one or two questions and try and feedback as best as possible.
I'll be there hopefully if not stuck in traffic returning from Kent. Hoping to hear an outline of the path forward and name of the new manager
I'd love to know if his personal interest in Barnsley is to make money or if that was his original aim which has now changed. I guess I'm wanting to find out if he has or wants to make his and others' view of Barnsley to be more than just an investment vehicle. He and the Crynes look very much like the peg we're all hanging our hopes on.
I'd like to know what the new board intend to do transfer wise. Is it more of the same just purely signing young and cheap players with the hope a few come good. Or will we take a more blended approach, signing some younger ones but also mixing in some more experienced players where possible.
Neerav was the one member of the board who made a donation when I walked from Burton. Something that I never forgot.
I would tell him thankyou for taking charge it must have been difficult working with Lee and Conway, it would have been easier to walk away. And Good luck you reds.
I'd like to know a bit more about him personally. Until recently I thought he was the data analytics guy who shows up when you Google his name. How did he originally come to get involved, was he approached by PMG/Chien, did Patrick reach out to him directly, was it just a chance investment opportunity? What background does he have and how is he going to apply his skill set to the club?
Financially are we knackered getting relegated or are the ‘investors’ going to step up and invest money into the infrastructure of the club and the squad
You've clearly missed that Shout by Ant and Dec is on that album. Easy to miss I suppose, just thought I should point it out.
When the original takeover happened four years ago he was mistakenly identified as a billionaire heir to an empire along with the claims that Paul Conway and chien Lee were billionaires this gave a very false impression of the wealth of the owners as a collective. He knew this was a mistake and that he was in fact a very different person who just happened to share a name with a billionaire. Why did he choose not to correct anyone and set the record straight to Barnsley fans? Was this because he and his fellow investors believed that misleading fans was a good strategy as false wealth commands respect?
I've heard him correct that personally in public not long after they took over. I think it was one Yorkshire Post article that got it wrong, there were other articles that got it right (and corrected this mistake). It's been mentioned on here before a couple of times over the last 5 years so it's not the big issue you are trying to paint here. (e.g. https://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/neerav-parekh.262008/)
I've missed that as well. I was going with Breathe by The Prodigy or possibly Wide Open Space by Manson. Now I'm having to think again. Which version of Shout are Ant and Dec covering? Is it Lulu or Tears For Fears?
