Read all threes biographies. And dare I say it. All very good reads. (Far better than I expected) Highly recommend em. Botham tells a couple of good and laughable incidents with Bird in his biography.
Wonderful! I worked the scoreboard at Shaw Lane for a couple of years in the 50s when they were playing for Barnsley.
He's playing the Manx for r lasses birthday. Seen him half a dozen times. Used to go to school with Dave n grew up in Mapp with him. Was always a funny kid. I'd recommend watching him, a pretty unique act is a decent description.
Seen him a few times. He reuses same stuff in his act but even though you know what's coming it's still funny. Like you say, I think he's just a funny bloke.
I'd definitely recommend anybody read Cricket Mad and Football Daft by Parky. Funny, nostalgic trips back to sport in Barnsley in the 50s.
Whatever your views on all three, the text and video are wonderful and perfect for a cricket obsessive like me!!
The thread title sounds like a solicitors. Thanks for posting the link, it was a very good read. Great to see them all still going strong in their 80s.
