You can spin that ether way.. you'd have as much chance of having a decent season if you go out and get a new coach in 2 days as two months. We knew in April Poya was leaving.
propaganda in sports massive. I'm not a massive boxing head like some on here but it's the same in that. Using numbers to make others look bad or themselves look good. At the minute in that, we have Eddie Hearn not finding it easy been away from Sky and Comcast in the UK. So he's attacking Queensberry via Yarde and Boxxer via how much they are paying Fighters he wanted.
But as you say, you can spin that either way. Taking 2 days to appoint a coach doesn't seem a very thorough recruitment process to me. Especially if you're wanting a coach to be with you for at least the next 2 seasons in an ideal world.
We appointed Stendel on 6th June in 2018 and he did okay that season so that would be the D-Day to aim for, for mine. I think longer than that would be a bit worrying given the early 30th July first game. I also recall Khaled committing to take action to ensure that we don't have our customary slow start to a season - that's a clear 'Spectemur Agendo' that he should be judged on.
I wish I had the time to listen to ten hours worth of podcasts a week. Actually I do have the time but I've better things to do with it. Sun's shining outside!
I don't watch TV. Also double up on things. Monday night football. Watch the match and listen to Priceoffootball podcast for example.
There's a whole world out there. It's summer. Give sport a miss for a few weeks. You can have too much of a good thing. There's a heck of a lot more to life than football and cricket.
The club's skint and the coach has little input into recruitment so why pay him until he's needed for pre season training is what the board will be thinking whether that's the right way to do it is another matter.
Can't turn off the porn filter? Though ten hours a week watching that won't make you an expert on *******, either.
Be good to get a head coach / manager in early , as the lack of fitness / Pre season training last season was shocking .
You have to plan for pre season though.......this should be done well before pre season. With the mess the club is in I agree with the sentiment that the club should have appointed someone by now, this person should have helped with the root and branch overhaul of the playing side and non playing side that needs to be conducted at BFC. We aren't in a position where some guy just rocks up for pre season and things are going to be hunky dory. Just smacks of our usual unprofessionalism.
