Some bonkers questions. I wish folk would research before opening their mouths.
Ismael did ok because of his experience of english football.
    Aye O'reight, 13 games in 10 months
Whilst I agree some of the older blokes put in questions that were pretty obvious to answer or plain silly. The most aggressive answers came from the younger end (bear in mind I'm 65 so what's deemed old? Anybody under 50 are young to me;)).
A couple at the back of me weren't prepared to listen to owt bar answers to their own questions. Constantly talking so weren't interested. Saying they were in doubt as to renew.
The comments about Val's experience and Wycombe were laughable if they weren't so serious
(At least do a little research afore opening yer mouth)
He answered every question within constraints. As in couldn't answer the court case issue or what lee and Conway would be doing with their shares. (He couldn't answer for them) He's hopefully going to give a clear account re the 750k to one of the accountants in the fan base. And issue a statement hopefully in a language I can get my head round. The fan seemed to accept the reply at first glance.

80 % of the club is still owned by people whose end game is to make a profit on there investment
that's not having a go its just a fact
there will be no mass injections of new money, which probably would be impossible to get back and make any profit margin less and less.on there investment

On the face of it Parekh comes across a s a very nice guy and " Fan "
but again he said it is not his investment its his family's
so ultimately he has no control of that investment

None that you've not heard before mate.
Re Gally's response on the new head coach. I got the impression they hope to have him in before the players report back June 6th, but bear in mind mate I'm a bit mutton jeff. And a couple of folk behind me only willing to listen and talk quite loudly among themselves. ( apart from their own question)

I was the fan in question.

I didn't expect him to provide a clear answer on the spot, but he offered to speak to me separately, and did not entirely dismiss my suggestion that Rob Zuk should provide clarity on this.

I spoke to him briefly afterwards and will try to follow this up with him in due course. I'm primarily concerned now with who becomes liable for the £2.75m outstanding and subject to ongoing court proceedings.

One thing we did learn this evening is that the court case has not gone away as part of the boardroom changes.

I thought he played the questions with a straight bat and didn't try to be evasive. I give him credit for taking on the questions and doing that.

I wanted to wait until after tonight's Q&A before making a final decision. Ultimately, I think it's less about what he said tonight than your opinion on whether removing Conway and Lee from any aspect of operational decision making is enough, at this stage. The news about the £1m equity injection is new information from this evening, and a definite positive step.

It's a bit too soon for us to have absolute certainty regarding how much will change, but its a significant step change in the right direction, and essentially there comes a point as to whether you're now prepared to make a 'leap of faith', given the timescales to the early bird deadline.

Personally speaking, I'm prepared to do so at this stage. Others might feel differently, and he did concede that he could understand why people wouldn't choose to do so at this stage.

No, if you need something to change drastically by Tuesday.
Yes, if you're prepared to believe that the club is now genuinely in the hands of Barnsley fans who acknowledge multiple bad decisions made over the past 4 years by the previous regime, and who will do all they can from now on to set things right. That's what I believe and I'm willing to back them and allow them the time and support they're going to need.

Feel more optimistic about the season after that but time will tell as to whether they put their words into actions. Hopefully starting with a new head coach by end of next week.

Of course 1 million pounds a good amount. I'm not sure on the avg season ticket price but say its 230 pound then that's almost 4.4k sales. 4.2k sales at 240.
That's more than a lot of teams in league one will get total i'd imagine.

He did say that they could do more.

Does equity mean money for shares?

Fair enough, point taken. Just think it’s a bit early to judge them negatively. Some decent sound bites from what I can gather so why not give them the benefit of the doubt for now. Get behind them and see how things develop. What we got to lose, we all want the same thing at the end of the day? Our club is at a crossroads right now, let’s hope it starts to move in the right direction.
    A big summer ahead.

Depends on what you were expecting to hear.

He said the books need to be balanced instead of losing money every year.
this will be done with players sales ,incoming/ outgoing players ,using the spreadsheet and trying to open up new commercial opportunity's.

Same as before just without Lee and Chiens input i presume
wasn't expecting anything else to be honest.

You should have said summat to the blokes behind you because that's out of order. A complete lack of respect to just talk when other people are asking questions.

Regarding Isamel, if that's true what was said then just wow. We have some real numpties amongst the fan base :D

It’s strange that you assume that 80% of the ownership want to make a profit.

Why are you convinced the Cryne’s don’t want to make a profit?

frankly you’ve no idea what proportion of the ownership would consider what achievement is a ‘win’.

And … not the fans either?

What makes you think any fans aren’t interested in a profit?

Many of us are completely baffled that football considers itself unique in being a ‘business’ that shouldn’t make a profit, and that a large proportion of fans see that as normal.

I'm not wanting to be pedantic here, but........ It's not that I'm viewing them negatively, just that I see little reason for positivity in terms of the medium term outlook for the football club. We have a poor squad, but even so the better players will be let go to raise funds. And we expect them to be replaced with better for less money, while somehow climbing back out of League One? Not happening, is it?

I heard little tonight to suggest progress. In football, as in any business if you stand still you fall behind.
