    Renew because …..
    It’s what I always do.
Because I have loyalty to the club staff who weren’t part of this nonsense.
To still be part of our community.
    Chink of light with Neerav.

    Don’t renew because…
Still unsure of motives of board
Still unsure of involvement of PMG
P:ssed off with a significant number of players.
Feel like i have wasted hundreds of £ already in last 3 seasons.
People i watch with won’t be there.
    No indication on manager.
Got used to not being there, have other plans.
    Unimpressed by Khaled.
Feel like football in general is completely messed up and pointless.

Been trying to find a reason to renew, but I’m too far over the hill.

My reason for still going to every game. I love Barnsley Football Club and always will. All I need.

The club is still our club, no matter who owns the shares.
The owners a very rich people who would not notice if one of their investments failed. We, on the other hand, definitely would notice if the club was no longer there.
The club is in our blood. We have been through good times, and bad times in the past. Why is this any different?

Because Victor is still in the squad.

I'm seeing that as a positive, by the way, just in case you were unsure which of your lists it belongs in. :)

Renew, because i will probably end up working or spending time with the wife. Plus i love meeting the lads and having a rinse afterwards.

Don’t renew . These owners are not interested one bit about supporters and the new board is just going to repeat the same outcome! Why should i give them my hard earned for them to **** it up the wall

It's a question I have been towing with on balance I have decided to renew today. The deciding factor was my 9yr old Grandson who desperately wants to go I hope they deliver on there word on not taking us for granted because it was a very close call and if things don't change I will I won't be giving in again

Some of the don't renew questions have already been answered. Might not suit you but they have been answered.
Some of the others are out of the clubs hands. Your last sentence sums everything up. Pointless. The rest is a distraction.
And as for wasting money. I've spent thousands on booze. And I'm not an heavy drinker. It's only a waste in hindsight.

    This is one of
My reasons for not renewing. I’ll be sitting on my own more often than not.

I agree with him & although the west stand fiasco tested my loyalty , I want to watch the reds , they are my team & my support is unconditional , if people do not want to go I have no problem with that it is there choice, but fans who just want to support the team & watch the match should not be chastised , I get the impression that some not everyone feel the need to justify not renewing , I do not think that is required, just simply please yourself no reasons are required .

If I'm DJing it is about £400 - £500 fee.

I'm not rich, as Saturday is the day I can get that money.

If I take a Saturday off I want to have some beers with my mates & see a good football match. That did not happen last season, when I did have one. Let's see what next season brings. Happy with the new boardroom, so that is a start.

Questions have not been answered convincingly enough. We still know nothing/ very little.
Waste of money - in other seasons I’d have gone to every game regardless but felt unable to support the regime this time. I just can’t afford to pay for something I won’t use.
In years gone by “blind faith” would have pulled me through. Damage done.
It’s a difficult decision but I just can’t satisfy myself it’s worth doing something just because it's what I’ve always done.

With respect. You just keep repeating the obvious. You made it plain on another thread. Why keep bringing it up by creating another. You've made your decision. Fine., Some waiveres have renewed. That's also their prerogative.

We do indeed. But I'm not renewing. I've had all the enthusiasm knocked out of me. I've found other things to do and can't imagine why I would go to Oakwell again. But I reserve the right to type "Gerrin" or even "GTFI" on here when we score and I'm listening on the radio or online.

With respect, it’s an agonising decision. One I’m not taking lightly. I apologise for taking up your web space.

As someone who religiously dealt with the banner, that shows how much ground needs to be made up.

But there's something you've missed on the 'renew' side isn't there? Because if their wasn't you wouldn't still be having this debate with yourself - and with us, because you'd be long gone from here by now.
No, deep down you want to renew and come back into the fold, you really do, because you keep coming back to it, keep searching for positives.
I bet we've all, or most of us, been there at one time or another - but something deep inside us keeps drawing us back like a moth to a flame.
It's what drags 250 people to an amateur club once every fortnight. A team that plays at the same level year after year with no prospect of advancement, but it's their team and they love it and turn out week in week out, year in year out. Often volunteering to cut the grass, mark the lines, serve behind the bar. Why? Who knows, but they do. Thousands of them every week at little clubs all over the country.
Yes, things have been bad and it's going to take a long time before it gets much better - but the people responsible have gone, and been replaced by people who have the good of the club at heart. So there is light at the end of the tunnel. We've come a long way with this club, put up with bad spells but had great times too, that's what being a Barnsley fan is all about. This latest setback, bad as it is, is just the latest in a long list. We've always come through before and we will come through this time - but stronger together.
Get yer ticket and get back on the roller coaster. You know you want to :)
