    Just settling down to watch the opening innings of our test match against New Zealand, the build up has been dominated by remembering the great man and rightly so.
    The man was a genius without question or peer, but, I would like to say that, we, as a country really come to the fore when honouring the memory of such people like Shane Warne, the regular destroyer of many English batting line ups, as a cricket lover and an admirer of many, many foreign cricketers, Shane Warne will always hold a special place in my memories.

    He was an exceptional spinner don’t think we will ever see the likes of again! Very passionate about cricket too. I can always remember asking a girl out at college but she fancied Shane Warne and as I didn’t look like him she wouldn’t go out with me!

    Only in cricket could you get a foreign player honoured like that and just shows the esteem in which he is held; probably the same all over the cricket world.

    He was an absolute legend! I'm glad I got to see him play for Australia on a few occasions. I got quite emotional watching the tribute
