Got his third now, hopefully a win on his debut knowing he had a big part to play in it.

Is he allowed to bat and or bowl or is he just allowed as a sub fielder

I'd assume both if it has to be a like for like replacement?

Parkinson is a concussion sub so should be able to do everything.
Brook is a temporary sub so can only field

Yes, that's it - has to be a like for like replacement ie spinner for spinner and then can take his place in all aspects of the game.

I remember in the eighties they dragged Bob Taylor from the Cornhill hospitality tent to keep wicket for a concussed French.
He’d only been retired a few years so it wasn’t a bad replacement

    Potts pulls a fetlock now!

How come all English seamers under 35 are made of glass?

Didn't expect when I woke up this morning to be disappointed that we've let New Zealand get to triple figures :D

87 for the last 3 wickets but overall you'd take 132 all out beforehand.

As a slight aside, what's become of Boycott as a commentator? Haven't heard him for ages.

He retired from commentating in June 2020 - at 79 (then) and having been through a quadruple heart bypass the Covid risks were too high to carry on.

He had a parting shot at the Beeb for "prioritising political correctness over ability" and still writes for the Torygraph I believe.

Might be the beer talking but watching Trent Boult bowl I have been trying to think of Cricketers who share a name with a Cricket ground. Trent Boult Trent Bridge is all I have so far :D
