When was the sky report mate. (I've even got it in my head it was after poya was sacked. Maybe that's why I'm a little confused.) Lads at work. Didn't call me McQuillzeimers for nowt.
. I also think in the past he's said he wouldn't discuss a managers position whilst still in charge. Exactly right mate At the time Poya was really struggling and most people thought he would be leaving
Also I've looked at the date line. After he left boro he said that was going to be his last job. ( I know he regularly changes his mind. ) Nov 6th. Poya Took over Nov 17th. Would he have been thought to be available for a late enquiry.? I still think they would have gone for Poya. And I also think Warnock wouldn't have worked under Conway's stipulations. If he'd got to the interview stage. Different kettle of fish now. Given the Data does not insist on age.
Of course it's not an obsession. It would be weird if the possibility of a highly successful manager being available wasn't eagerly debated and supported by some. Mccarthy is more of an obsession because he's repeatedly said he's not interested.

Didn't he do an interview with TalkSport in around March, when there were questions over whether Poya was about to leave? He made a flippant comment about how he would be interested if the vacancy came up. Many have taken that as, we could have swapped Poya for Warnock in March. Really, I think it was a throwaway comment. There's no telling what Warnock's demands would have been, or whether he was actually interested.
Some moaned about vals football style but would be happy with warnock ball... i personally wouldnt care as long as were winning games.
Hes more than that though. the comment you replied to such a bad comment IMO. It shows a lack of looking for opportunities to pick someone new. These two names are the two I'd want. I love the young coach approach. I see what happened at Blackpool. QPR going young coach. Gerrard at Villa and formerly Rangers. Lampard going into Derby. Rooney at Derby and done well. Steve Cooper. Also. Went through that youth level and built up with that and he's a coach I thinks fantastic.
You've neglected to say HE has approached THEM to help out with player recruitment. (Not as a manager) as its around the corner and he doesn't fancy travelling to London. On media duties.
EVT has already stated he wants him as part of his coaching setup with McClaren. Think it's a none-starter but definitely one to keep an eye on over the next couple of years - especially if we go short term with Warnock.
If it's Warnock.I'd like to see our next Head Coach appointed with Warnock to learn the ropes and step in when Warnock's had enough.
I seriously believe the Warnock rumour is a hoax. I think the club have tossed this into the ring to appease the fans. We will end up with yet another unheard of coach with no real experience.
