You're right about horse trading, I think some will have been going on for awhile, I also think the vote is been held today to stop anymore plotting to continue.

I think you're right regarding calling it earliest to stop the behind the scenes whispers.

I don't get a feeling there's been a concerted effort to unseat him given the varying types submitting letters. Remainers and leavers, old and new, north and south, safe and unsafe seats. And perhaps thats telling how bad it all is. That despite no serious plotting, at least 54 have had enough.

    Hmm.

I suspect the government are really very desperate and suspect this vote is going to be really quite close.

They've sent Raab, Rees-Mogg and now a duet of Brandow Lewis and Suella Braverman to try and convince the world that Johnson is a viable human being.

Agree and then if he loses the two by-elections they’ll all turn on him

The current Mrs. DR’s view is that is all a bit of a PR exercise to help Bojo the Clown “draw a line in the sand” and “move on to the real issues”. I hope it backfires.

The real issue is the number of Tory MPs willing to support a lying, cheating scumbag who will stoop lower than a snakes belly to cling to power.

I have taken an interest in politics for well over 50 years and in my opinion there has never been a politician who has been more duplicitous and self serving as Johnson. As one of his party recently described him: “he is a vacuum of integrity”.

I hope his party can finally see through him. Sadly I doubt that enough can,

You have to admire the lap dog that is Dorries, she is potentially single handedly assisting in big dogs downfall.

She's right. Boris should be gone but nobody should be wanting Hunt as the replacement. He would have been China lite dealing with the pandemic. We would have been locked up much longer, restrictions would have been much tougher and things like domestic vaccine passports would have been permanent. He's tried backtracking on his pandemic views in recent weeks, forgetting they are on film.

Hunt wont get voted in - He is far from an ideal PM but that said he would even he would be less bad than the current clown, I doubt he could have handled the pandemic any worse, whether he would have done much better is open to debate to to base you views on a tweet from Dorres is even worse than even your normal daily mail levels
If Dorres says Hunt would be bad and Boris good I know which I would take as being the least worst

Nadine Dorries now managed to find a camera to wobble about in front of.

Apparently Johnson needs to stay in order to help wheat get out of Kyiv. Erm... ok Nadine! Lots of other verbal diarrhoea that just isn't worth repeating.

Lots of "he got the big calls right" nonsense being shared by ministers today. What are these big calls?

The vaccine roll out being used as an example. Are we expected to believe that any other PM would've refused to buy a load of doses of vaccines and decided not to use them when they were approved?

Similarly, are we supposed to believe that no other PM would've offered any support to Ukraine, or sanctioned Russian Oligarths? Do we just ignore that the PM that put Lebedev in the House of Lords?

Trouble with the Tories from an opposition point of view it’s like them voting Hitler out and Stalin or Ivan the Terrible and maybe Pol Pot in .
They are all as bad as each other when it comes the the public services and woe betide any union or workers wanting decent pay rises from any of them but let the CEOs pocket millions from massive profits and it’s a case if we’ll they deserve it .

Exactly, it's the fact that the Tories are in power that's the problem nit which one is PM.

Has he got his Class 1? That’s the only way that tub of lard will get the wheat out of Kyiv

Just another populist soundbite that doesn't stand up to any form of rigour.

He probably doesn't wear undercrackers, an extra layer that gets in the way of impregnating as many woman as he can.

I'm not going to pay too much attention to drunken Nadine. I think the wheat tends to be shipped from the ports in the south, not flown or driven from Kyiv in the north.

If he thought it would save him, I'm sure he'd do such a thing for the cameras!
