Poya said to Swedish press long ago that he would be leaving in the summer if we stay up or don't. So it wouldn't be a good look for our CEO if after a few months to sort a replacement we lose out to a club who have only had days to sort a replacement.

I'm assuming the 5 were/are duff, hasselbaink, Ramsey, Warnock, McCarthy

McCarthy said no outright. Ramsey's staying put according to the twitters, Warnock still feels like a very long shot and duff must now realise there will be better offers on the horizon. Burton are a steady team, but probably not a team with realistic hope of competing for top 6. for all that, hasselbaink feels like the most likely outcome. we'll see.

I don’t think McCarthy and Warnock were on the final five shortlist.

Good, he’s not what we need.

If its JFH I'm not bothering, we'll finish 13th.

He lost the respect of the Northampton players because he continually called them by their shirt number, not their name.

Also we've had just about enough of this as well:

    https://www.northamptonchron.co.uk/...oyd-hasselbainks-demise-cobblers-boss-1040798

"As a consequence of being too worried about the opposition, Hasselbaink would relentlessly fiddle with his team selection, tactics and formation. His best XI and preferred style of play remained a mystery even after seven months at the helm. The team just had no identity."

    And this:
"To an observer watching Northampton play, it always seemed that Hasselbaink’s first thought when approaching matches was focused on what he had to do in order not to lose, instead of how to win."

    And this:

"in addition, his continued persistence to bring everyone back for corners, even when his team was trailing late in games, was another source of huge frustration for fans."

Had enough of this type of approach last season with Poya, even in games we needed to win.

Khalid should have kept it zipped until any deal was done.

Sounds great...... Doesn't sound like the man manager we need. Man management above all else is paramount with the season we've just had.

Don’t like the first bit at all, but the rest I take with a pinch of salt. Sometimes you decide on a system based on the cards you’ve been dealt and Northampton were in all sorts of trouble when he came in. Got to hope he’s learnt from that and with us will be building a squad to go for the top half rather than avoid the bottom four.

99.9% of managers would be better than Poya!

Maybe he's learned something from his Northampton days.

I'd say Schopp was, poya was the worst manager I've seen.

Blackpool's top choice would seem to be Dean Holden, who does have a little Championship management experience and a lot of Championship coaching experience at Bristol City before Pearson arrived. I would think that Holden would get it over Duff, as he does have the Championship experience, which Duff doesn't. Keep the faith!! COYR

Blackpool will probably appoint him before the week is out. We approached Cheltenham in the middle of May and here we are.

I knew somebody who worked at QPR when jfh was there. Not well liked, they threw a party when he'd gone.
