SEASON TICKET SALES TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED Ticket News We have temporarily suspended sales of 22/23 season tickets whilst staff begin the printing process. Continue reading on the official site...
Bit poor to have to stop sales completely to catch up with something else. They should be on sale constantly.
Yes especially with the long queues down the bottom car park & half way down Pontefract rd , this could cost us millions in sales !
I think that was more to do with COVID/ the shortage of stewards? I think they weren't sure how many people they'd be able to have at Oakwell
Guess after all these years we are still lagging behind many conference clubs in the way we should be run ...
Because we can't hook up the commodore 64 to the external floppy disk drive, that contains the sales spreadsheet, and the dot matrix printer at the same time. They use the same port.
This is a Ticketmaster instruction that requires a pause in sales whilst orders are printed. Happened last year as well. See below. https://barnsleyfc.org.uk/threads/barnsley-season-ticket-sales-suspended.306394/ For those saying no other teams do it, here's Ipswich announcing the exact same thing nearly three weeks ago. https://www.itfc.co.uk/news/2022/may/season-tickets-off-sale-on-monday/
This is also from the Cardiff City FAQ on season tickets for the 22/23 season. "Will Season Tickets be taken off sale at any point? From 5pm on Friday, May 13th, 2022, the Season Ticket sales process will be paused until 10am on Monday, May 23rd, 2022. During this off-sale period, any seat reservations not processed will be released, and any fans having to relocate due to stand closures etc. will be given the opportunity to select seating that may now have become available."
Did you read the Ipswich article? "The pause will allow the ticket office to process seat moves and requests from supporters."
I would guess it means a whole host of different things rather than just one, but the main point was that a) it's a Ticketmaster instruction and b) other clubs have announced something similar.
