Looking more likely IF Giggs is cleared of all charges he will lead Wales into the World Cup.

If cleared and you ran Wales FA would you want him or Page leading the team?

Page. He's put the hard work in and shouldn't have it taken off him. Giggs is a detestable person regardless of the outcome of this trial, and I have no doubt he wouldn't think twice about trying to stick the knife in Page's back and take over but I hope it doesn't happen.

Page. He's walked the walk. Just like Chris Coleman did in 2016.

It would all depend on who Gareth Bale wanted , the way the head of the Wales FA was speaking yesterday you’d have thought Bale was already in charge

There's a name Chris Coleman, is he out of a job? Wouldn't mind him here.

In my day it was Page vs Blackmore.
But, time moves on I suppose.

Blackmore, for me. Even though he was such an odious, arrogant individual.

Page, every day. Far more inventive / creative than Blakemore who was all weedly weedly wee as Zappa put it. RB would never have thought of playing with a violin bow.
    Each to his own though.

Rob Page - Rhondda Valley Boy was Cymru's under 21 coach in 2017 - in 2019 appointed as Giggs assistant coach.
Appointed Cymru's manager in April 2021 when Giggs was charged with assaulting two women.

Page done a brilliant job getting Cymru to Qatar - they were runners up in their group games (quite an achievement) and beat Ukraine in the play-offs.
This is a tremendous achievement - Cymru's first appearance in the World Cup since 1958 and the profile of football in the Principality has been raised massively.
Of course he should be the manager in the World Cup regardless of the outcome of the Giggs trial !

You Tube has the highlights of the Ukraine match - well worth watching **- a manager like Page who can get the team team playing with such passion and commitment deserves to stay in post.

The Cymru match versus boring-snoring England in Qatar will be interesting !!

** or watch 'Yma o Hyd Wales v Ukraine' on You Tube to see what the victory meant to Bale and players.

agree! Page done a brilliant job - a team of older experienced players like Bale - the fantastic Hennessey - Ramsey - Moore together with young players - maybe not the most talented but what was lacking in talent they made up in spirit and commitment.
Would be travesty if he wasn't the manager in Qatar.

Some of the criticism i have seen this week of Southgate has been ridiculous. They way people talk about the Euro final you would think Italy beat us 4 0, not that we lost on penalties.

Especially when you consider than the Nations League is basically a friendly competition. It doesn’t mean anything. England’s players have been on holiday for the last few weeks and aren’t due back training for about a month.

But alas, us Englanders love to moan and pull people down.
