Was talking to my Dad about it the other day and he made the point of how many times we have seen England going into Tournaments have won all the qualifiers and all the friendlies and the fallen flat.
Back to the OP. I can’t believe this is even an item for debate. Even if Giggs was a great bloke and a management record like Fergie or Klopp I wouldn’t suggest firing the guy who got them to the World Cup for the first time in decades. As it is he is neither a great guy or exceptional manager so it shouldn’t even be a discussion
Agree with all that, looks like they are saying they have to i agree it should be Page for all the above reasons you cite but as it stands if Giggs is cleared, legally the job is still his and unless he agrees to stand aside they have to allow him back. Of course the decent/right thing would be for him to allow Page day in the Sun
Agree, Page deserves to keep the job - massive achievement for Cymru to get to Qatar - some 'big' names in the team but a number of others who raised their game and what Page has done is produce a team who play with passion and commitment.
England may well be a top team but they're not exciting - to me the team always seem to be too constrained and lacking spark and spontaneity (but then I'm a tad biased !!) Go to You Tube and watch the highlights of the Cymru v Ukraine game - and tell me which game you have seen England play with such passion and total commitment. I look forward to 29 November.
