One odd game before more T20 stuff. The pitches so far in the four day game have been poor for bowlers and far too easy for batters to score runs on, hence so many draws not just at Yorkshire. We need to start to find a way to turn draws in to wins and keep up with Surrey. We could be having a few battles with them this season in different competitions.

Saw t’other day that Yorks have never played Surrey in a T20 game.
When you think about it, it is not so strange as we fail to qualify from North group regularly.

We played them in a 50 over game last summer I think

Yorkshire won the toss and will bat first. No team news yet. They need to try and get 400 to make most of conditions. It won't be easy as Hampshire are above us and have decent players like James Vince.

Guy on You Tube just said Coad bowled a few overs for Townville last week.
Sounds promising but seems like he’s not ready yet

428 all out. Yorkshire not short of bowling options, other than 'keeper Duke Will Fraine is the only player not to have taken first class wickets.

Two quick wickets by Thompson. The strength in depth is thankfully big enough to cope with doing alright in every competition. Take someone like Revis as an example. He's took his chances brilliantly when if others like Coad and Fisher had been fit he wouldn't have been around anywhere like as much. Now when they do come back it will be hard to drop him.

We have let another strong position slip a little with that century partnership.

Strange that Thompson has only bowled 9 overs.

Another awful bowling performance, and we're going to draw again from a good winning position.

Once again, it's NOT good enough Im afraid.

Not good when you can't compete with a small county that doesn't get international Cricket. It's a surprise as well as his wife is from Yorkshire and kids will be settled in their Yorkshire primary schools after being born up here. Quite the upheaval but people chase the money.

As for down in Hampshire we aren't doing too bad. Anything over 200 will be tough to chase in under two sessions.
