My son called this morning and his mate had sent him photos of the Barnsley Pals memorial in Churchfields been smashed to bits. I honestly don't know what goes through some peoples minds to sink so low.Absolutely disgusting. If youre on Facebook just type in Barnsley Pals and you'll see the damage thats been caused.
The only photo I've seen shows one damaged piece. Are more damaged too? If not could it be possible that it was done accidentally?
If the damage has been done deliberately, those responsible should be made to face horrors similar to those faced by the Pals.
Imagine looking at their faces before smashing them. Young lads who gave everything. ******* feral scum.
Like I said earlier on a different thread we don't educate kids to be decent human beings we educate them to pass exams. What sort of people they turn out like is a lottery.
They need naming and shaming Presuming it's males, then once caught they need dragging round town by their boll xxks before getting a good slap and that's me who doesn't think violence is the way forward, sometimes I guess there's an exception to the rule...
Speak for yourself i suspect most kids are brought up by parents and know not to do things like this although not all. I never buy this societys fault.
Not a school issue for me mate. I think you need to look more at parenting. Most kids have a mischievous element and some follow idiots who think things like this are clever (and those idiots usually end up Billy no mates) . But the vast majority know where to draw the line. And walk away. I'm extremely proud of my lot. And lots of their friends tbf. As I reckon most folk on here would agree in their own circles.
I've just seen the broken tributes and on the back of the damage, I'd like to see the culprits have their veins opened up using one of the shards whilst they are force fed aspirin.
Fully agree about the parenting mate but I stick by my belief that the education system has the wrong goals.
Only two of the installations broken thankfully; Shouldn't take too much to replace. However, while on the subject, I don't know who's responsibility it is but it's been looking shabby for a while now: weeds, misplaced lamps, gravel all over the place etc.
