    Regarding it being great when we won it in 2016, yes of course it was.
    But it was a proper knock out competition then for lower league clubs, a variation of the original Associate Members cup.
    The reason why most fans have no time for it now is they have created group rounds to begin with, and they have invited Prem U23/youth teams to take part. It holds no interest anymore.

    Remember when a good Lg cup run in a season got us excited, but when did we last have one ?.
    I wouldn't miss the Lg cup either if it was finally scrapped. Or at least make it just for Efl/League clubs only.
    And Im sure Prem clubs wouldn't mind as they only play their young teams up until the Semi finals.
