You could go Livingstone in India with him playing in the IPL.... S Currans a very good t/20 player and I think that would transfer to ODI's.

In my first post I was thinking you have 25 overs of spin if needed with Rashid Ali and Root.

Another comfortable win today. Worrying that Morgan has been out for zero twice in a row.

    https://www.espncricinfo.com/player/eoin-morgan-24598/matches

He hasn't had a fifty in his last ten games and I suspect to find his last fifty you might have to try and find his last twenty games. He's really out of form and has been for a year because even when he got KKR to the IPL final as captain last year he wasn't getting scores.

was on about him on way up to durham friday after his golden, but remember mike brearley test capt?
he was also great tactical player and we can't really compare the 2 but morgan has been the catalyst of our 1day format and earned his right to bow out on his terms

Waste of a series playing these. Two boring dead rubbers against the minnows.

My initial thoughts were that the series was a total mismatch and a waste of time.
However, after seeing the total enjoyment of the Dutch fans, I have completely changed my mind.
Most of the spectators had no real idea about cricket but they really enjoyed it.
Our brief visit will promote the game in Holland to a great extent

I'm also not certain that being double Dutch it may be possible to play for other test playing countries, you never know but opens up a gate for a great clogger slogger
Short memory but Morgan may have played against us and certain Gavin Hamilton did for Scotland, can't recall him for England but thought he did, must be more too

Graham Hick played for the young Zimbabwe team before qualifying to play for England after playing in county cricket for so many years.
He is the most under rated of players as he was a prolific run scorer, decent bowler and top class slip fielder….he didn’t quite achieve his potential internationally.

I may be wrong but I think England slightly changed the rules so he was eligible for us !!!!

He'll bounce back. Says the person who wanted lyth dropped a few weeks ago, only to have it rammed down his throat. With several top scores since. I wonder who that was.:confused:o_O
Hope I haven't put the mockers on.

I think we all thought Lyth should have been “rested” but there wasn’t an obvious replacement.
    That’s my excuse anyway

lyth top scores.....v a poor t20 durham team twice and 1 at brum, and half a knock v lancs , trouble is, he's still worthy of his place due to internationals plus he's no where near captain material like morgan is so nowt rammed down my throat here, 2 very different arguments on how to bow out gracefully

This series is also part of 2023 ODI World Cup Qualification too so has some meaning as well.

I would like to know what qualification rules are for their players. I went through their profiles on cricinfo and they have been born all around the world anywhere but Holland.

Morgan out today injured. Yorkshire have announced Brook signing a new five year contract. It's a good day so far for Cricket fans.
