    Which crisps are the best in your opinion?

    Some that go well with a nice pint of real ale for instance.. Ham n Pickle, Roast Beef, Cheddar n Onion...

    Many of the micropubs seem to sell the likes of Tyrells or Yorkshire Crisps which seem to be very good, in a different league to the flakey little things Walkers put out..

    Real crisps another good one, but like Tyrells and Yorkshire crisps, seem hard to find where they are sold in multipacks.

    Suggestions?.

    Lidl's posh salt and cracked black pepper crisps are surprisingly excellent.

    If we're talking crisps we ate at school, bacon Wheat Crunchies take some beating, with an honourable mention for ready salted Hula Hoops. Which are also immense if you grind a bit of black pepper into the bag.

    The Aldi version of these are unreal and cheaper than the Kettle chip ones.

    Trouble with these and same in Lidl is that they are always in huge bags, so if you just want a bag of crisps as a quick treat with a pint, once the bag is opened
    1. They are too tempting to eat.
    2. If you don't eat em, they lose quality very quickly once exposed to the air.

    Proper modern day dilemma, am telling thi.

    You can get the Aldi ones in multipacks of 6 which are the small bags. I bought them before when the big bags were out of stock. I prefer one big bag and just eat them all in one go while watching a film etc.

    Issue with the smaller bags is that they are so good I end up eating all 6 packs in one go :D

    Kettle Chips Sweet Chilli and Sour Cream.
    Also Walkers Max Strong Chilli and Lime which they have sadly discontinued

    Partial to those Ketchup flavour ones we get in the Algarve. The alternative is the Paprika flavoured ones.
    Taste ace, and the bag is large and the price is the same as we pay for a little bag.

    I've not had crisps in years.

    But as a kid.... there were some I had and I think they were called whizz wheels? Like bigger hula hoops with spokes in as if the shapes were wheels.
