Are you both first timers or have either of you had it before? Only interested. Hopefully you both have a mild doze and both recover soon. It appears that covid is having another surge nationwide.
It’s my second time. Got it in November of 2020 and despite the wife and daughter having it between then and now I avoided it. Now I’ve got it and no one else has.
I had it for the second time last week. The first day I tested positive was pretty rough, but pretty much over it in five days. Just like a heavy cold really.
Started off with a tickle throat and cough and put it down to hay fever. Then had a heavy cold for a couple of days, now I’m just sat sweating.
Both fiancée and baby have it at the moment. She likely got it whilst out at Barnsley live too as friend she was with tested positive. I got it last month, two days after going to a gig too.
Me and the missus were scratchy throat all the way. Got a bit of a cough now, but it's been absolute child's play compared with the pre-vax dose, which was absolutely horrendous.
Almost the same symptoms as I had in February. But my cold was more of a runny nose. Only after 10 days quarantine I found I had breathing difficulties. Went to the doc thinking it was just bad asthma and was unfortunately diagnosed as in need of a pacemaker. I’ve no idea whether I had undiagnosed heart problems previously and the covid enhanced them. Anyway hopefully your situation is much less serious mate and I wish you a speedy recovery.
Thank you. I’d say this is almost identical to my previous infection except the snot and phlegm. Last time it was more a sore throat, cough and blinding headache. Hoping as I’m relatively fit and fully vaxed I won’t get any worse.
There does seem to be a new wave going round but we don't know very much about it due to the lack of testing. Another stupid move by this most stupid of governments.
Yes I've heard that asymptomatic carriers can have the same long lasting internal problems as those who actually suffered with the symptoms of the disease. The damage to the heart and kidneys in particular.
