By doing this the EFL set a president for help for any future club that falls on the same difficulties what ever level they are in the egl pyramid

But we all know that only applies if it’s a big club. So if the next club is for example West Brom, Birmingham or even the Fowls the EFL will step in. If it’s Cambridge or Wycombe they are on their own

Every extra day this drags on is more money in the bank for Quantuma (the administrators). That's why they're always "close to finding a buyer".

It's now reported (BBC) that the EFL have been blocked from speaking to potential buyers, despite the EFL saying it would be stepping in and being more involved. The whole thing sounds like a huge con to me. The EFL have no teeth and no backbone.

Latest report also says Quantuma are looking to take on more external funding to cover June's wages. Who in their right mind will want to put money in for that?

    The whole thing beggars belief.

Can't see how a business in admin can take on more debt .

I thought we had bad administrators when we were in Admin but this lot running Derby seem a level even worse. I thought they were supposed to get the best deal they could for the creditors but the way things are going the creditors are going to finish up with nothing

Football creditors first if they want to stay in the league.

This is an interesting one Helen. The administrator is legally allowed to top slice his reasonable fees. However Derby's share in the league has been suspended and will only be reinstated when all football related debts are repaid. Ultimately the administrator is in charge of the funds so my money would be on him. I can see his fees being an impediment to a buyer coming in. Someone else questioned the administrator incurring debt. They are allowed to do so to protect assets. The best example I came across was one borrowing to pay stabling/fees for a racehorse for three months so it could be entered in the September bloodstock auctions. I imagine the loan for wages was from the PFA so it must be repaid in full as a footballing debt. The value of the club is now probably the administrator fees and the football debts. Ashley knows he'll have to pay the football debts and the administration fees he sees as wriggle room, but he's not the preferred bidder

what you all seem to be over looking is that if your clubs managers name appears before the club then you seem to be at a distinct advantage, wayne rooneys derby county and the newly formed vincent kompanys burnley, so i think we should start to refer to ourselves as michael duffs barnsley
