I think the last time I watched him was at the olympics and it seemed to me he could no longer sings and should think about retiring. Can’t imagine he’s much better 10 years later.
Personally the complete opposite. Couldn’t watch it, turned it off. As a huge Beatles fan, I take no pleasure seeing him like that. One of the greatest voices ever. Mic turned down, being overdubbed by backing singers. Awful for me.
It's watchable to be fair to him, not bad to say he's 80! Not as bad as some of that Jubilee stuff I saw. Can't believe how long a set he is playing, impressive for anyone at 2 1/2 hours. ps Noel earlier sounded really good!
Doing ok for someone at his age ! not the best line up this year. Disappointed that they didn't show paul heaton and Jackie Abbot ! Now those can sing
I am emotional seeing how rubbish Glastonbury is compared to the heyday when it was the best festival we had.
Diana Ross struggling a bit this eve. Sounds a bit flat. Sad some of these greats are at the end of the road, really.
Nowt against him. But one the greatest voices ever. Seriously. Songwriters. he's up there with the best I'll grant you that.
Crazy thing is, and I agree btw. prior to the short showing at the Jubilee concert. (Where I thought she excelled herself) I said the same. Perhaps a bigger set takes its toll.
Thing is, Ross and McCartney have a combined age of 158 years. No wonder they are on the wane, they are serious OAPs. These people that say '73 is really no age', well, it really is. It's over 7 decades.
