    Some lower league clubs are sneaky.
    Not saying this is the case, but an EFL club don't want to pay the compo, so talk him into going to Turkey.
    RP goes there, then after three months plays the homesick card; contract gets cancelled and he comes back to EFL club who first wanted him.

    Turkey seems to be a favoured place for homesick footballers.

    All this of course, is complete fantasy on my part. :)

    Looks that way, there is also a training compensation package under FIFA rules but looks like that would run out at end of this season(end of Season of 23rd Birthday).

    This is pretty much what happened with George Hirst. Wednesday rejected a bit from Leicester whilst still under contract, so he ran it down, the Belgian club (owned by same people as Foxes) had to pay a reduced compensation fee, a lot less than any UK club would have had to pay. A year passes and he finds himself at Leicester. Sneaky.
