Not liking this Indian bowling, way too good at the moment! 83 for 5.

I’m off to Edgbaston tomorrow, I pray we get better weather than we’ve had today, the stop start has been kind the India’s bowlers.

Hopefully we see a good solid partnership with these two, get us up to 200+. I would’ve felt more comfortable with Overton coming in once one of these two drop though, I fear if India strike early tomorrow it could be a quick close to the innings.

Stokes should be told that he’ll be dropped if he runs down the pitch attempting a wild slog again. Stupid batting.

I don't find Stokes approach to batting attacking or aggressive, it's reckless and predictable. Jonny on the other hand is an absolute joy to watch - controlled attacking and power.

Just sat down and switched it on, thought he's going to be out here and he was. Spooky!

Absolutely appalling decision to give Potts out. Close up showed the ball bouncing off the ground into his hands. Out and out cheating and rubbish umpires. If there was a small doubt then it’s not out

If the onfield umpire thought it was out, why did he wait before actually giving his soft decision ?
He seemed to be influenced by their confident appeals

If the catch by Root the other day was not out then that had to be given not out. Root was honest and said he didn't know I'd he'd caught it but the Indian players perhaps not being totally honest.

The fielder knew it hit the grass first and yet he threw the ball up claiming a catch. Always the same against these and Pakistan. You wouldn’t get it if we were playing New Zealand

I couldn't see it was out, even during the replays tbf.. Umpires are in real time.

There was doubt but the close up showed the ball going down then up, suggesting a bounce. Batsman should have got the benefit, not the other way round

Pujara on 50 from 139 balls. I am surprised he was so quick :D India will be weary of setting a total as we will go for it whatever.

They have unfortunately changed the rules - if the on field umpire gives a soft out signal the reviewing umpire has to be certain the decision was wrong
and have clear evidence that it was definitely not out. Its possible it bounced up of his finger rather than the ground I dont think the DRS review proved beyond all doubt the ball didnt carry just that it probably didnt. If the on field umpires had given a soft not out signal he would have stayed
Id be miffed if I was Potts though
