I have a pal who is a big Luton fan and reckons they have had bids around £10 million for Adebayo from top championship and even premiership sides. If that's true, Luton could definitely afford the £2 million for Morris and it would be a like-for-like replacement. The deal might hinge on whether Adebayo does go. You watch Luton wait until they have sorted the Morris deal and then announce that Adebayo's off. We shouldn't be kidded into accepting less than the £2 million, because Luton will have it if they sell their star man and we will have been short changed for anything less than £2 million.
When he’s fit he’s the best striker we’ve had since sammy the snake, the only thing that tempers my disappointment is, because he gives 200%, he’s injury prone.
Seriously wtf is Luton's obsession with taking our players?! I'd like to think it would be £2m up front with add ons but I don't think it will be. If true then it's more likely to be around £1m up front, rising to £2m with future performance and appearance based clauses. That's not a great deal.
Morris is brilliant and will be a huge loss. That being said £2m is serious money in this division. That’s retaining players and signing a couple money. I’ll miss him but it doesn’t derail our season.
Luton's record fee paid is 1.2m. They have only ever spent over 500k on four occasions, 5 if u believe they spent that on Woodrow. No way they are spending £2m.
There is no way Luton will be spending £2mn on anyone unless it is true that Adebayo is leaving. That would be very bad news for us Hatters, he was why we got in the play-offs, an absolute handful and scored pretty prolifically. I doubt we would get more than £5mn for Adebayo but happy to be proved wrong, strikers get a premium price but we only paid £500,000 for him last year so good business. Sounds like you folks rate Morris so that is encouraging if we could get him but not for you folks by the sounds of it
Bloody hell. Luton have gone from having a team full of our cast offs a few seasons ago to potentially breaking their transfer record for arguably our star player, mere weeks after signing our only other competent striker. Things can change very quickly in football.
That is funny, I spend more time on your board than Luton's as I am getting confused which team is which
Be a big miss for us for sure. Not a prolific scorer but does so much for the team with his work rate and hold up play as well as scoring some goals too. Only issue is the injury record but that aside he's great and overall probably our best all round player along with Styles
