Let’s see who (if) we get as replacements for Morris & Woodrow. Can’t believe we’ll just go with what we have as I’d have to agree we’d struggle. Especially as we don’t look to have any goals from midfield either.
Hopefully we can trust the new board to deliver.

 

While we both wish that to be true I don't think either of us will be holding our breath.

Cole is capable of scoring great goals (see Barrow) but he's also capable of, to quote my school teachers, "Not producing his best work" (Again, see Barrow). I'll be surprised if he plays anywhere near enough games to score 20 goals as I can't see Duff entertaining him.

But on this point, I do make myself laugh when I accuse a player of lack of effort because I'm this super hard worker am I? I went to Uni to avoid work, get drunk and sleep with neurotic art students. And I bloody well did.

 

Being a striker often relies on confidence Hopefully these goals in the friendlies carry on into the season.

 

I clearly went to the wrong Uni as while I achieved the first two admirably, I never even encountered a neurotic art student during my time at Sheffield, never mind slept with one.

 

I'm happy to start the season with Cole and Iseka with Aitchison and Marsh as back up in a team that will be trying to score goals and win matches. People forget we're trying to bridge a gap financially and can only pick 11 players.

I suppose we need to put our faith in the Head Coach but relying on Cole fills me with dread.

 

I can hear it now, the collective groans of 'come and sit up ere Devante' ringing out across a windswept Grove Street..

 

Last season they were always going to be second fiddle to Woodrow and Morris and its up to them now to take the opportunity.

 

It always looked like a bad signing to begin with, and I haven't changed my mind about that.
But the early pre season form sounds promising and surely we have a better coaching team now. And with the loss of both Woodrow and Morris (by the looks of it), this coild be the chance that Cole has needed.

 

DC is gonna storm this league.

Maybe he might actually get a pass from someone for him to try and score this season
