I think I would look up the definition of what a War Criminal is,before making such allegations.

Was there anyone in the audience actually from Barnsley; I didn't recognise anybody?

Always wonder when they put these question time shows on now.. can we drop a podcaster or comedian and get one of the local MP's on there.

The tory mp they had from Durham, she actually seemed like she was an MP for the right reasons.
Never heard of her before though, likewise with the labour lady.

That Tory MP talked a lot but actually said nothing. Glad the question was asked about Levelling up and 40% cuts in Barnsley’s budget. Alistair Campbell was spot-on and was obviously clued up on the situation in Barnsley, unlike the Tory MP who said she was unaware, to which Fiona Bruce replied ‘that’s surprising, it was all over the press at the time’

Campbell is a snake on the Gove scale..

Everybody still missing the point that the cost of living crisis is not a UK thing, same with inflation it is worldwide.

I haven't heard any party say how they would turn things round because in reality, because its a worldwide crisis there isn't much they can do.

We can windfall tax as much as we like, all that does is lead to future price increases..

    No
No, a global financial crisis does not exist, according to the Tories in 2008,it was the Govts fault. Even tiday, some Tories still blame Labour, even though we’ve had. 12 years of Austerity. I’ve no opinion on Campbell so my judgement on what he is saying is not clouded. He certainly was more clued up than that Tory MP on local issues.
If that Tory MP was in it for the right reasons, then she got it wrong straight away by joining Tories

Campbell wasn't really spot on...he said there was no levelling up fundingfor Barnsley because you had a Labour Mayor and Council...Donny has the same but is getting levelling up money.

Donny has a Tory MP doesn’t it. and even then, that still doesn’t mean that Barnsley hasn’t missed out because of well, Dan Jarvis being SY Mayor as well.

You're right about the MP, although only 1 of 3, the other two are still Labour. I could be wrong but I don't think the Tory MP's constituency is in line for funding.

Or you could look across the channel and nationalise your largest energy provider. After implementing a 4% limit in energy price increases in spring, not 50%.

But that's half the issue. EDF own a significant chunk of our infrastructure due to privatisation, so are free to milk the UK market to subsidise French energy. Re-nationalising the grid would take some doing but it would be with it. Maybe start with water and rail, they'd be simpler.

Sure there was someone proposing stuff like this a while ago...

That's the difference. Donny came close to turning blue, hence levelling up money as enticement/reward. We didn't and won't, so we get bugger all.

Tory campaigning in Barnsley is like Labour campaigning in South Thanet.

Ah, Dehenna Davison. Didn't watch it, but was sure I remembered something about a Durham tory. She had some interesting friends back in 2019...

Caught a bit of this last night - that is until Fiona Bruce made me want to cave in the TV.

"Anyone in the audience vote Tory?"

Fck me Fiona, you probably but them there.
