Friendlies mean nothing . All about fitness levels. Let's wait until league starts before we're jumping off the cliff. Don't panic Mr Mannering
Not arsed about the result. Yes, winning can give confidence before the season but it’s more about fitness and getting to know what Duff wants for me. A left wing back and a couple of strikers is pretty clearly what we need. Cadden would be a nice part of that.
Did we create anything? Id be more concerned if we didn't have any creativity rather than players missing chances.
Spot on. It’s essentially a behind closed doors game that the club opened up to 200 fans as part of building those relationships up again. A game on the Academy pitch where from the 60th minute we pretty much played seven of the U23’s (if you assume the incoming of defenders has put Moon and Sraha mainly playing there next season like I have. We’re obviously light attacking wise but our transfer business definitely isn’t over. The early start to the season will leave squads waiting right up until deadline day to have their final squad lists sorted. Don’t expect anyone to be up and running until September.
A bunch of total complete bankers then!. Btw, I thought they still used monopoly money in Ponty taarn ? lol.
On a Saturday full of sunshine and live sport, you’re obsession still refuses to dampen. Seriously, don’t ever stop x
Ahh thats got me thinking, would that have been season '86 ?. We had a young David Hirst as well in '86, and I remember Ian Chandler's hat trick in the 3-4 win at Hull on new years day.
Unless we sign two first team ready strikers with proven goal scoring records another season of toil is looking very likely.
I’m not too fussed about pre-season friendlies TBH. As mentioned, it’s more about getting fitness levels up. Something that was evidently lacking last season, as we looked spent on the hour mark. I’m sure MD is fully aware that he needs replacements of some kind to replace CW & CM
We are looking really thin of quality particularly up the attacking end . If we are going to complete with the top six, we need a miracle! cole and iseka are nowhere near good enough for league one
