    BFCST Update

    We were all saddened to hear of the damage caused to the Barnsley Pals memorial a couple of weeks ago.

    Barnsley Museums and Heritage Trust are raising funds for the repairs, and there’s a really simple way for you to get involved (other than texting BARNSLEY PALS to 70085).

    We’re donating all our profits from Redfearn’s Bar for the Open Day/Forest game next Saturday towards these repairs. Want to support but don’t want to text? Just buy a pint, a soft drink, a packet of crisps or a glass of wine, from the ugly mugs serving - such as myself, @Gally and @Hicksy. Plus the other amazing volunteers we have.

    It’s a full day session with all the games and activities planned, so hopefully we’ll raise a good amount of funds for this worthwhile local cause.

    I think you choose the amount when you text?

    You can still see the tweets shared above without having a Twitter account - I believe you can anyway. I'll dig out the full instructions.

    Here you go mate. Option to text a donation or do it online through the website.

    @BarnsleyMHT
    were one of the organisations who contributed to the installation & would really appreciate your help in raising funds for its repair. To donate text BARNSLEYPALS to 70085 followed by the amount you wish to donate, or via the DONATE button at http://bmht.org

    I'm helping my mate Neil who's got a stall. I'll be nipping over a few times to collect my 'wages'.

    The Bradford Pals group (Bus To Bradford) just got back from their annual pilgrimage to Bus Les Artois and Serre. They are checking what's left in the coffers with a view to donating.
