3 trialists used in 2nd half then but I only saw 2 on the earlier team sheet. Butterfill and Farr. Who was the other I wonder?

Tomas Kalinauskas I assume. We released him of his contract, but he's back on trial to see what Duff and his coaching staff think

Unless it's Soto but someone mentioned on the other thread that he wasn't in the squad to play

Probably end up being our best signing this decade. Chelsea Academy and all that.

Instead of comments like that Loko could you please tell me about Mr Jack Aitchison. I'm not seeing much to impress tbh and last night he and Aiden Marsh looked way off someone doing their GCSEs 2 or 3 weeks ago.

GCSE's are important; especially for those persuing a career in professional football.

Youngest every player to score for Celtic isn't he? Assumed he'd be right up your street with that kind of pedigree.

To be honest though, if someone making the League Two PFA Team of the Year is regarded as a poor signing, then what hope does Aitchinson have?

    https://www.thepfa.com/news/2021/6/3/pfa-league-two-team-of-the-year

That was the PFA Team for 20/21. apart from the goalkeeper maybe there isn't a player in the list so I don't think it makes much difference.

Also to edit. Can I just add, that Peter Clarke got in the team of the season for league two. No, it isn't 2010. The guys flipping 40 year old so the standard isn't high.

Just out of interest, Phil - can you name me the XI you'd start against Plymouth Argyle, based on the current players we have on the books?

    Genuinely interested.

Others can join in if they like.

I obviously can't share mine but Cadden would start.

    Williams Cundy Mads
    Brittain Wolfe Benson Cadden
    Kane
    Iseka Aitchison

That's assuming Helik and Styles are away. Plus I've never seen 3 of those picks play!

We're League One. The best players in League Two are our level of signing.

Winnall, Hourihane, Scowen, Styles, Mawson etc haven't done bad for us have they?

Add to that Roberts and Premier League Ethan Pinnock who came from a level below that.

I can Andy. I talked about the very thing to a friend last night.

Hope you are okay after nearly been took out by the number 6.

    Collins.
    Moon Anderson Kitching
    Williams* Connell Cadden
    Benson** Wolfe
    Cole Iseka

Wolfe isn't based on performance in pre-season because I thought he wasn't good again last night. If I thought Ackroyd could be strong enough for 90 minutes i'd go him at 6 and Connell into one of the 8's.

Again Jalo. Spoke to Hassell after the game and asked him if he thought Jalo would be with the u23 team next season and he said I hope first. Based on a very small sample size of that and Charlton i'd say he would be above Marsh and Aitchinson.

Difficult for me to share opinions, but I've not seen a young talent like Fabio (in a forward position) in my years at the club. Very exciting to watch. No fear at all, and get shots off unexpectedly which is a good sign for a forward. Always on the move too. Crazy that he's only 16.

The number 6 studded my arm, accidentally of course. Joys of filling in as a photographer I suppose!
