Different recollection, lots of folks, over a million of us marched against that war and a number of very decent mp’s including Robin Cook said no. Call it what it was , wrong, based on tosh a war crime. However, as stated not a natural part of this post.

To be honest. The wmd were only a small part of my judgement at the time. I just thought the regime under Saddam were evil. committing genocide. And needed removing. I know there were protests. But the majority though it was small showed over 50% were behind it. In polls.
As you say, one for another time.

I'm no tory and never have been my dad worked down pit I'm old enough to remember what that ******* Thatcher did . The problem is Labour offer no oppression Blair took us to war because he said Iraq had weapons of mass destruction
1000's of British lads sent to be slaughtered in Afghanistan and don't forget who bankrupt the county. Labour will never get in power with Starmer as leader he's a tory in red needs a proper leader like Andy Burnham

As per the war in Iraq I partly agree with you but after an inquiry he wasn’t convicted so not a criminal by law .
As far as bankrupting the country that was a global act and would have happened choose who was on power give the lax laws around d banking and the global financial mismanagement as a whole .

Never convicted. Cleared at six enquiries. The architect of the Good Friday agreement.

Don’t get me wrong I was against the second Iraq war at the time as were many others but the majority of the countries MP’s were in favour. Anyone who thinks a Tory leader would have done any different is not in a real world

But in any case what’s Blair got to do with the crimes of current Tory MP’s
