I noticed when I filled up yesterday that my local Morrisons had knocked a penny off, the Jet garage close to me had knocked 2p off, and today I've noticed the Tesco at Wath has knocked 3p off!!! Is it happening?
I filled up last Thursday at the Shell Garage in Durkar was 182.9 when I filled up, down to 178.9 when I passed later
I don't know what the barrel price has done the last week, but the RAC suggested they had been falling for about 3 weeks. The forecourt price doesn't seem to have fallen locally round here as yet.
https://uk.finance.yahoo.com/news/c...MW8NG3TW3nTmQCTOdOOm4SC3YfDtT1ILj8cgAkLxH-3ow Oil keeps going down in value but as always places are much slower at passing on decreases than they are putting on increases.
Its been going down for over a month peaking on Jun8th its now down by about 20% since that high and expected to keep falling for the rest of the year so I would hope Fuel prices start to drop of course oil is priced in dollars so the pound falling against the dollar also has an effect
Costco is by far the cheapest I’ve seen around I don’t understand how they can charge so much less than others but diesel there at moment is 1.87
Unleaded in Oban, Scotland is 180.9. Much cheaper here I have noticed than in England. Wish I could bring a tanker back with me.
oil prices are dropping but thanks to our Brexit self-harm the pound has also continued to slide against the dollar so although a barrel of crude is about 6% lower then April the pound depreciation has made it 15% more expensive for us to buy. Another win.
There’s a long list of ‘reasons’ why falling prices can’t be passed on, but rising prices absolutely must. Legalised cartel.
Noticed since it changed to total energy whatever... the prices have been a lot higher than the supermarkets. They used to be fairly close. Noticed the one at Durkar today myself lowest I've seen anywhere in ages.
Went to Costco in Derby yesterday and Diesel was £1.83 all ‘normal stations around it including Supermarkets were ‘normal’ prices. Have to be a member to get those prices but makes you wonder how they can do it.
Funny that, because since the Jet garage in Hillsborough changed to Total Energies, its been a penny cheaper than the nearby supermarket ones.
bridge end cheapest in Barnsley yesterday. which is very unusual as it's usually about 6 or 7p more than the supermarkets. he must have got his hands on a batch of cheap Russian stuff
