    It is. Means Lancashire will go back to playing 5 front line bowlers, without an all rounder.

    Would still make Yorkshire favourites, even without Willey, there’s still plenty of batting power with Lyth, TKC, Brook, and Malan. And if Thompson shows the form at the death that he showed in the quarters, then that would seal it.

    Funny you should say that as I usually go for someone in the second match. I think back to back matches keeps you in the grove more. Yes you're more tired but the team who wins first will leave for the team hotel, have no idea who they play in the final and then arrive back and have to quickly get back in the zone.

    Rossouw is one of the highest run scorers in this competition and Banton is class when on form.

    Shame they haven’t Richards Garner and Botham in their heyday

    Good to have Drakes back to replace Allen even though they are different positions. Our top four will need to do the majority of the batting with Lyth, TKC, Malan and Brook.

    The economic situation and the onset of the Hundred are probably the main reasons.
    Also, it seems that there are live streams now available for every game so it’ll be either cost cutting or plain laziness watching at home.

    As far as I know, we’re the only country who have 4 pro cricket competitions which is a lot to squeeze in especially with our climate

    Has it always been the case that finals day has been the week after the quarter finals? Given how long a day finals day is, a lot of people would need to book accommodation as well, and just not feasible to book at a weeks notice.

    True. Part of me thinks it would be wrong for Buttler or Bairstow to swan in for the final having played no part in the tournament. But Root, Livingstone and Willey must be thinking they want to be there.

    All there for a full strength Roses clash would show why the Roses clash is the biggest match in domestic Cricket anywhere in the world. Indians would tell you it's RCB vs CSK in the IPL mind.
